Several natural ingredients can be combined to make tasty, nutritious energy drinks that are much better than store bought. Unlike commercial energy drinks, homemade natural energy drinks level the the blood sugar out much better and do not give a crash after they have been metabolized. Many commercial energy drink send the blood sugar up very high and because there are no ingredients to stabilize, the sugar levels plummet.

Apple cider vinegar has long been considered for its helpful properties. Apple Cider vinegar is also a great energy booster. Add 2 teaspoons of raw apple cider vinegar to 16 ounces of cold water, and then 2 teaspoons of pure maple syrup or raw agave syrup. Diabetics can substitute yacon syrup, raw coconut nectar, of 4 drops of stevia for the syrup. Lightly sweetened and very refreshing.
Power Packed Protein Punch
Constant fatigue can be attributed to low protein levels. Muscles need protein to be healthy and if not added through nutrition will take it directly from the body leaving one feeling listless and droopy. This protein shake will last all day. In a blender combine a ripe banana, 1/4 cup of raw almonds or 2 tbsp almond butter, a heaped scoop of high quality whey protein powder, 2 washed kale leaves,1/2 cup of plain yogurt, 1 tbspn of ground flax seeds, and 1 cup of milk of your choice. Blend until smooth chill for better taste.
